About Us

Kids Planet Ashton

Kids Planet Ashton was established in 2002 and joined the Kids Planet family twenty years later in 2022. With an excellent reputation in the Manchester area and easily accessible commuter routes, our nursery in Ashton-under-Lyne and Out of School Club offers a beautifully presented, recently refurbished environment with a warm, family feel.

Children benefit from a dedicated sensory room, a large outdoor area for active exploration, and our much-loved Rainbow Room, an inclusive space accessible to all age groups.

We also provide before and after school care and a holiday club to support families year-round. To find out more about our spaces and availability, please get in touch with the team.

A calming space to spark discovery

Soothing Sensory Explorations

Our sensory room offers a peaceful, engaging environment where children can relax, explore, and develop through sensory play. Carefully designed to support emotional wellbeing and encourage curiosity, the space provides a calm retreat where little ones can process the world around them. Whether used for quiet time, focused support, or small group activities, our sensory room helps children build confidence, strengthen motor skills, and enjoy meaningful moments of discovery in a gentle, nurturing setting.

Charity, connection, and care

Supporting Our Community

Community is at the heart of what we do. Our nursery proudly supports a range of local and national charities, including Willow Wood Hospice through our annual Bunny Hop, and Crackerjacks Children’s Trust. We also work closely with local schools to build strong links that benefit our children and families.

Our very own nursery fish tank

Underwater Wonders

Our colourful fish tank is more than just a lovely feature, it’s a calming focal point that sparks curiosity and wonder in our children. Watching the fish encourages quiet moments of reflection, supports emotional regulation, and offers a gentle way to introduce early learning around caring for living things. Whether it’s counting fish, talking about colours, or simply enjoying the soothing movement, our little ones love visiting their finned friends each day.
