Children at Kids Planet Basford can help grow plants in the garden and discover nearby places on trips to Basford Park and local museums. Our nursery occupies a converted church hall in Stoke-on-Trent, with three playrooms on one level for children from six weeks to five years.
Our Parent Zone offers resources on topics such as sleep and toilet training, giving families information to use beyond nursery. Our team helps your child build on their experiences through play, with outdoor time making use of the spacious garden. We’re near the A500 and Royal Stoke University Hospital, and term-time care is available.

ManagerHi, I'm Nikki, Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Basford.
I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, loved, and confident to be themselves. Building strong relationships with children and their families is at the heart of everything I do, and I love getting to know each child as an individual.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is watching children grow in confidence, develop their unique personalities, and celebrate their achievements along the way. I believe children learn best when they feel happy, secure, and engaged, which is why we provide a wide range of opportunities for exploration, creativity, outdoor play, and learning through play, all at a pace that suits each child.
