Kids Planet Carrington

Established in 1991 and acquired by Kids Planet in 2022, Kids Planet Carrington is set within a beautiful Victorian building and provides a warm, welcoming environment for children aged six weeks to five years. Ideally located for families living locally or commuting into Nottingham, the nursery is proud to offer high-quality early years care and education in a setting that feels like home.

Our long-standing, dedicated team has created a nurturing space where children are supported to develop confidence, independence, and a sense of pride. With thoughtfully designed rooms tailored to each stage of development, we’ve created environments that encourage exploration, creativity, and curiosity. Each room includes a dedicated sensory area, and our cosy Hive space offers a calm and quiet area for group time, reflection, and emotional support.

Outdoors, our garden is a space where imaginations thrive. From nature-based learning to open-ended play, children are given the freedom to think creatively and develop key life skills through hands-on experiences.

As a nursery rooted in the local community, we regularly visit the nearby care home and community gardens, where we tend to our patch to grow flowers, and we proudly support local food banks through regular collection drives. These connections help children understand the importance of kindness, empathy, and giving back.

My name is Donna Wait, and I have worked in childcare for over 20 years starting as an apprentice and working my way up to manager. I have a passion to help others and find childcare fascinating, I have watched many children grow through the years and is a pleasure to see them thrive and transition to school. I have two children of my own and I love to spend time with my family.
