About Cleckheaton
Kids Planet Cleckheaton welcomes children from birth to five into rooms arranged for each age group. Our nursery gives babies through to preschoolers time to explore their interests, with outdoor play throughout the seasons bringing opportunities to discover nature.
Our experienced team works closely with parents and adapts learning to each child’s development. We support your child as they build relationships and practise doing things for themselves, offering help when a new skill needs time. These everyday experiences let children take their next steps through play, with familiar adults who understand what matters to them.

Josie Hodgson
ManagerI am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Cleckheaton and have over 17 years of experience in early years childcare. I have worked at Kids Planet Cleckheaton, previously Katie’s Kinder Care, since 2013, progressing from Nursery Practitioner to Room Leader and now Nursery Manager. This journey has given me a strong understanding of every aspect of nursery life.
My career began through a work-based apprenticeship, after which I achieved my Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education, alongside Team Leader and Level 3 Management qualifications. I was appointed Temporary Nursery Manager in 2017 before becoming the permanent Nursery Manager in 2020.
As a parent whose child attended the nursery from six months old, I have seen first-hand the positive impact of our nurturing environment and high standards of care. I am passionate about building strong relationships with children, families, and staff, creating a warm, welcoming setting where everyone feels supported.
