Kids Planet Cleveleys

Kids Planet Cleveleys opened in October 1996 and sits in the heart of Cleveleys, just a short stroll from the seafront. We are the only Udeskole-accredited nursery in the region, giving children daily access to our outstanding outdoor spaces and beach-side adventures. Indoors, you will find light, welcoming rooms filled with natural resources, including a calming sensory room and a dedicated under-twos space with its very own roof garden.

Downstairs, our mixed-age 2–4 group encourages empathy, cooperation, and positive role modelling, helping children build social confidence as they learn together. With an experienced, long-standing team on hand, every child enjoys a nurturing, play-based curriculum that lays strong foundations for future learning.

Vikki Henderson

Manager

Vikki Henderson is the Nursery Manager for Kids Planet Cleveleys and she has been working in childcare for 21 years. She has a passion for cooking, something she loves doing with the children in the setting. Vikki is a mum of two young boys and spends her free time at cricket matches and the local park.

At Kids Planet, we believe in making life easier for families, which is why our nurseries offer an all-inclusive approach. Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Forest Adventure Zone

Our downstairs garden is a true outdoor classroom. As the only Udeskole-accredited setting in the area, we give children the chance to take safe risks, use real tools, and explore nature in every season. Summer brings fire-pit cooking and marshmallow toasting; autumn and winter invite stories and hot chocolate around the flames. From den-building to bug hunts, each activity sparks curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of the natural world.

Sensory Calm Space

Tucked away downstairs, our sensory room offers gentle lights, soothing sounds, and soft textures that support emotional regulation and sensory discovery. It is especially valuable for children with additional needs and provides a smooth transition for under-twos moving up to our 2–4 room. Whether used for individual support or quiet moments during a busy day, this nurturing space helps every child feel settled and confident.

Sky-High Baby Garden

Our under-two room opens onto a private roof garden, the only one of its kind in the area, giving babies daily fresh-air adventures while meeting all safety guidelines. Experienced practitioners create calm, engaging play indoors and spur curiosity outdoors, from sensory trays to little-hands gardening. The space is designed for exploration at each child’s pace, supporting early physical skills, confidence, and a joyful start to learning.
