About Us
Kids Planet Country Park
Kids Planet Country Park is nestled on the edge of the beautiful Bestwood Country Park in Nottingham, offering children the chance to connect with nature every day. Our purpose-designed, single-storey nursery is fully accessible and thoughtfully laid out to promote independence and confidence in even the youngest of children.
With light-filled, spacious rooms and a true home-from-home feel, the nursery is a place where imagination, creativity, and physical development thrive. Each age group benefits from free-flow access to their own garden, where outdoor play is encouraged in all weathers to support resilience, curiosity, and wellbeing. From the calm of our peaceful baby room to our vibrant toddler spaces, every corner of Country Park is designed to inspire.
Our gardens aren’t the only way we embrace nature. We are proud to offer Forest School sessions, giving children the chance to build dens, explore the natural world, and engage in seasonal, hands-on learning. These experiences promote teamwork, independence, and deep connections with the environment.
We also have a dedicated outdoor classroom, perfect for smaller, focused activities tailored to each child’s development. It’s a space where skills are nurtured and a love of learning is gently cultivated.
At Country Park, communication is at the heart of what we do. Our Communication Lead, leads regular ‘Sign Time’ sessions using simple, age-appropriate sign language to support spoken word and help children of all ages and abilities express themselves confidently.
Our experienced and passionate team are here to provide high-quality early years education in a safe, supportive environment, where nature and nurture come together to help every child flourish.
Tracy Cropley
ManagerI have been working in the childcare sector for over 15 years and have a foundation degree in early years. I have been working at Country Park for the last 2 years and love this nursery that surrounds within the woodland area. I am first aid trained as are all my team. I'm also the designated safeguarding lead and support the role of senco. Working with children has always been my passion and love to see how they develop and grow through their time during their nursery journey.
