Overview
About Gateshead
Kids Planet Gateshead is a small nursery with a homely feel, close to Gateshead Library and Saltwell Park. Our team plans play around your child’s interests, with outdoor experiences giving them room to explore and try things for themselves. Nearby places offer a connection with the community around them.
Fresh meals are part of daily nursery life, and updates through the Famly App let you share in your child’s day. Our team supports learning through everyday experiences, helping children become more independent as they grow. We offer encouragement when a task is new and time for children to practise the skills they’re developing.

Hayley Gibson
ManagerI’ve worked at the Gateshead nursery for 20 years starting as an apprentice & working my way up to manager. I strive to provide the same outstanding care I expect for my own children everyday. Providing a safe & secure environment for all children to explore & learn at their own pace. Supporting each individual child to blossom in all areas of their development, while having the best fun! Leading a team that shares my passion, high standards & dreams. Having great parent partnership, working with you & supporting you & your family in any way that we can.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
