Kids Planet Hebburn (Formerly Abacus Day Nursery) is a long-established, family-led nursery that has been supporting children and families since 1996. With a dedicated and experienced team, many of whom have been part of the nursery for years, the setting offers a warm and stable environment where children feel safe, happy, and confident to explore.

Our highly qualified early years educators bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, with all staff holding relevant early years qualifications and many continuing their professional development through further study and training. The nursery has been thoughtfully developed over time to provide high-quality spaces and resources for children aged Babies to Pre-School.

We work in close partnership with you and your family to ensure every child’s wellbeing is supported. Through a balance of child-led and adult-guided learning, children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and curiosity. At Kids Planet Hebburn, we create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can grow, thrive, and discover so much more.

Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences.
