Katy Rawbin
ManagerHi, I’m Katy, and I’ve been part of Kids Planet (formerly Perfect Start) for six years. I started as a practitioner in our Under 2’s Room and have since worked my way up to Room Leader, then Deputy, and finally Nursery Manager in October 2022. It’s been amazing to watch the nursery grow and evolve over the years, and I’ve loved being able to help shape its future since joining the management team.
Before moving to West Sussex in 2019 to live with my now husband in Cuckfield, I worked in a nursery in Surrey. We got married in September 2022, and I’m very excited to be expecting our first baby in January 2026!
I feel incredibly proud to be part of the Haywards Heath team, it’s a supportive, passionate, and fun environment, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our nursery and the wonderful families we support.
Bethany Odell
ManagerMy name is Bethany; I have been working in the childcare sector for 15 years. I started as an apprentice in a nursery in Haywards heath and gradually progressed to room leader when completing my level 3 . I have worked in various other settings within the area including starting my own creche attached to one of the local primary schools. Knowing that Early years was my calling I decided to complete my early years foundation degree and then my BA hons in Early Childhood with Chichester university and graduated in 2019. With my degree I found the subject of attachment incredibly fascinating especially in how vital it is in helping children to learn and grow and especially how effects brain development therefore my research was based around this.
I have been a nursery Manager at the Haywards Heath setting since 2022 after coming back from having my little boy. I am delighted to be a part of our outstanding OFSTED rating in May 2025 and I cant wait to see where the setting can go from here.
