Kids Planet Poulton

Kids Planet Poulton is a warm and welcoming nursery located on Breck Road in the heart of Poulton-le-Fylde. First opened in 2009, it proudly became part of the Kids Planet family in July 2021. Just a short walk from the village centre, the nursery enjoys a central and well-connected location close to parks, the library, shops, and cafés, perfect for regular local outings that support children’s learning and connection to their community.

Our setting offers a true home-from-home environment where children feel safe, cared for, and inspired to learn. What truly sets us apart is our dedicated team. Ellena Tattersall

Manager

Ellena has worked in childcare since May 2016, beginning her career as an apprentice and progressing through roles as a practitioner, room leader, deputy manager, and now manager. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience with all age groups, from babies to preschool-aged children.
Working with children has always been Ellena’s passion. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support their development and be a part of their learning journey, celebrating each exciting milestone along the way. Ellena is especially committed to building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, and she takes great pride in nurturing and guiding each child with care and dedication.

Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Together for Our Community

At Kids Planet Poulton, supporting our community is at the heart of everything we do. One of our most touching recent moments was Autumn-Mae’s Charity Day, a heartfelt event that brought together families, staff, and local businesses to raise awareness for childhood leukaemia and support Autumn-Mae, a cherished member of our nursery. With glitter tattoos, raffles, cakes, and smiles all around, the day raised over £1,300 for causes close to her family’s heart. It was a true celebration of resilience, love, and community spirit.
