About Us
Kids Planet Rope Green Farm
Kids Planet Rope Green Farm is set in a beautifully renovated, spacious barn, surrounded by the fresh air and open countryside. With extensive outdoor areas and strong rural connections, we provide children with the space and freedom to explore, discover, and learn in a safe and stimulating environment.
Our large, purpose-built outdoor play space is at the heart of nursery life. From climbing and digging to planting and caring for animals, every day is filled with opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, and foster curiosity. Being set on a working farm means children enjoy unique experiences, such as feeding animals, watching our vegetable patch grow, and learning about nature first-hand, helping to nurture a lifelong love of the natural world.
We are proud of our strong community links, working closely with the local church and high school to offer shared events, visits, and projects that build a sense of connection and belonging. At Rope Green Farm, children thrive in an environment where they feel valued, supported, and inspired, creating memories and friendships that last well beyond their time with us.
Amy Davenport
ManagerI have 23 years’ experience working within Early Years settings. I have worked at Rope Green Farm since 2010, starting my journey in the Toddler room.
I began to manage the setting in 2016 alongside Barbara. We both share the same passion: ensuring all children are at the heart of everything we do. I am the setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for providing a safe environment for the children in our care alongside the setting’s Safeguarding Team, and for ensuring that staff are aware of the Safeguarding Policies and Procedures that we adhere to.
Whilst working at Rope Green, I gained Early Years Professional Status/Early Years Teaching Qualification in 2012 and hold a BA Honours in Early Years.
Barbara Green
ManagerI have over 15 years’ experience in Early Years, working in a variety of roles from Team Leader at Rope Green Farm Day Nursery to teaching in a local primary school. My journey has given me a deep understanding of how children grow, learn, and thrive at every stage.
I have a strong passion for creating an inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. As the Nursery SENDCO, I work closely with our wonderful team to ensure that each child’s individual needs are recognised and met, helping them to feel safe, valued, and confident in their learning journey.
I am dedicated to building positive relationships with children, families, and staff, and I am proud to lead a nursery alongside Amy, where children are at the heart of everything we do.
I gained my Early Years Professional Status/Early Years Teaching Qualification in 2012, and I have recently completed my National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership and Management in 2024. I also have a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery. Prior to working in Early Years, I worked as a nurse and midwife within the NHS.
