Overview
About Rope Green Farm
Children at Kids Planet Rope Green Farm can feed animals and watch vegetables grow, learning about living things through direct experience. Our farm setting has a large, purpose-built outdoor area with space for climbing and digging. Our team supports your child’s discoveries, helping them investigate the natural world at their own pace.
Partnerships with a local church and high school bring shared events and visits into nursery life. These connections add opportunities for children to spend time with people in their community and explore new experiences. Our team plans learning around their questions and interests, with encouragement as they try something for themselves.

Amy Davenport
ManagerI have 23 years’ experience working within Early Years settings. I have worked at Rope Green Farm since 2010, starting my journey in the Toddler room.
I began to manage the setting in 2016 alongside Barbara. We both share the same passion: ensuring all children are at the heart of everything we do. I am the setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for providing a safe environment for the children in our care alongside the setting’s Safeguarding Team, and for ensuring that staff are aware of the Safeguarding Policies and Procedures that we adhere to.
Whilst working at Rope Green, I gained Early Years Professional Status/Early Years Teaching Qualification in 2012 and hold a BA Honours in Early Years.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
