Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge

Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge is nestled on the eastern outskirts of Bristol, in the beautiful green grounds of the former Shortwood Lodge golf club. We provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 5 years, with spacious open-plan rooms, extensive outdoor areas, and a curriculum designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Our unique setting gives children the freedom to explore nature, take part in regular physical activity, and develop key skills in a safe and supportive atmosphere. From our thoughtfully designed indoor spaces to our expansive gardens, every part of Shortwood Lodge is created to encourage independence, learning, and confidence. Families also benefit from the convenience of our large private car park, making drop-offs and pick-ups simple and stress-free.

Led by a dedicated and longstanding team of early years professionals, we take a child-centred approach, with a strong focus on early literacy, communication, and physical development to give every child the best possible start for school and beyond. We value strong partnerships with families, hosting monthly stay and play sessions, regular family events, and maintaining open communication to create a true sense of community.

Nursery Manager Jess has worked in childcare since 2010. She started as an apprentice, then achieved her NVQ Level 3, and following this she chose to pursue and put her drive into becoming a manager. Jess has two children of her own in Kids Planet nurseries and love it there!
