About Us

Kids Planet Leeds Oxford Place

Kids Planet Leeds Oxford Place is situated on Oxford Place in the heart of Leeds City Centre, just a short walk from Leeds Train Station and the City Square transport links. The 60-place nursery provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and includes a dedicated soft playroom among its many enriching facilities.

As part of our commitment to high-quality early years education, our setting features a calming Sensory Room and a newly refurbished garden space, providing children with opportunities to explore, learn, and play in various environments. Our prime city centre location means we’re just a stone’s throw from local museums, parks, duck ponds, and nature spots, making them ideal for regular outings that support learning beyond the classroom. We’re also proud to have achieved the Inspire Accreditation, reflecting our dedication to delivering exceptional care and early education for every child.

Soothing space to explore and unwind

A Calming Sensory Escape

Our dedicated sensory room provides a peaceful and engaging space designed to support every child’s emotional wellbeing and sensory development. Lit gently by a glowing bubble tube and colourful shape lamps, the room creates a calming atmosphere where children can feel safe, relaxed, and inspired. With soft textures, tactile toys, and a cosy tipi, little ones are free to explore at their own pace, building focus, curiosity, and comfort in a setting tailored just for them.

Explore, play, and grow together

Fresh Outdoor Adventures

Our newly refurbished garden is a vibrant and engaging space where children can enjoy the freedom of outdoor play every day. With artificial grass for safe exploration and a variety of open-ended resources, there’s always something exciting to discover. From riding bikes to playing mini golf, making music with ukuleles to spotting colours through stained glass animals, the garden offers endless opportunities for learning through play. It’s the perfect place to develop coordination, creativity, and confidence in the great outdoors.

Bringing learning to life

Out and About

We believe the world around us is full of learning opportunities. From exploring nature at the local duck pond and parks, to hands-on experiences at museums and city centre events, our children enjoy regular outings that spark curiosity and deepen understanding. Whether we’re bug hunting with magnifying glasses, fossil spotting at exhibitions, or simply watching the trains go by at the station, each trip is carefully planned to support children’s development, imagination, and connection to their community.
