Kids Planet Whiston

Kids Planet Whiston is a warm and welcoming nursery just a stone’s throw from Whiston Hospital, with excellent transport links, including rail connections and access to major motorways. With a private car park, drop-off and collection are safe and convenient for busy families.

We care for children from babies through to pre-schoolers, nurturing each child’s unique potential through high-quality early years education. Our passionate and committed team of educators support every stage of development, helping children grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity. From nature-inspired learning in our forest garden to immersive sensory experiences and trips into the local community, children at Whiston are given the space, encouragement, and inspiration to thrive.

Hi, my name is Jenny, and I am currently the nursery manager here at Kids Planet Whiston. I first got into childcare when I left school and joined full time college to complete my NNEB diploma in childcare. I have since worked within early years settings with the focus of supporting and helping children flourish and develop within their early years of life. I have learnt so much throughout my journey and have gained professional continuous development. I completed a BA Hons degree within leadership and childcare to help further my knowledge and passion. I continue to be a very hands-on and proactive manager with the dedication to role model and mentor the team around me.

Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

With tactile wall features, soft floor tiles, and interactive light elements, including a sensory pebble and glowing planetary wall, this space is perfect for quiet play and sensory development. It’s also a valuable resource for children with additional needs, offering support through structured and soothing experiences.

At Kids Planet Whiston, we believe in learning beyond the nursery walls. Our children enjoy regular walks to the local park, where they practise road safety, explore nature, and strengthen their physical skills on the play equipment. We also take occasional trips to places like the charity shop to support imaginative role play and engage in seasonal visits to the nearby care home, bringing joy and building intergenerational connections.
