Kids Planet Widnes is located within the Kingsway Family Hub, just a short walk from Widnes Town Centre and close to Runcorn. Set in a converted Victorian building, the nursery has been a trusted part of the community since opening in 2008.

We are proud to have a longstanding, dedicated team, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. This stability helps us build strong, nurturing relationships with children and families, creating a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Our nursery benefits from excellent onsite facilities, including a specially equipped sensory room and access to the hub’s library, offering children rich opportunities for exploration, creativity, and early literacy. Leaders and staff place children’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, ensuring every little one feels secure, valued, and ready to learn.

Originally qualifying as a Primary School teacher, I spent several years in Primary Schools before transitioning into the Early Years sector. Over time, I have taken on a variety of roles within Early Years settings, gaining valuable experience and deepening my understanding of early childhood development. I took over as Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Widnes in March 2023. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Master’s degree in Disability Studies, and a National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL). In September, I will begin studying toward a Doctorate in Education (EdD), further deepening my expertise and commitment to driving excellence within Early Years.
