About Us

Kids Planet Willerby

Kids Planet Willerby is a welcoming, environmentally friendly nursery, ideally located to serve Willerby, Anlaby, Kirk Ella, and Hessle. This purpose-built setting is designed to be accessible for all age groups, with direct access to the outdoor space and a covered area. A recent addition to the Kids Planet family, it was previously Tiptoes Nursery, and it has a strong reputation in the local community with excellent links to nearby primary schools. Our own ‘wood school’ embraces the natural surroundings, and we are proud to partner with the local care home to enhance social development. Baby sign language is used in the baby room, fostering early communication skills, while monthly visitors and local trips ensure strong community involvement.

I have been working for the setting since 2019, starting part time whilst completing my degree in "Working with Children, Young People and Families". I graduated in 2020 with a first-class honors degree and became full time as a toddler's team member. Since then, I have continued to further my career, working my way up to deputy - and now stepping in as maternity cover as the Nursery Manager. I am proud to be the manager of this outstanding setting and also super proud of what all of my staff have achieved both personally and professionally. We are here to be a 'home away from home' for both you and your child, allowing a respite for everyday tasks and ensure your family units are thriving through the care and support offered within the setting. My door is always open to parents, and I am always more than happy to help.

At Kids Planet, we believe in making life easier for families, which is why our nurseries offer an all-inclusive approach. Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Building Connections Across Generations

Social Development with Care Home

At Kids Planet Willerby, we believe in the value of intergenerational learning. Through our partnership with the local care home, preschoolers have the unique opportunity to interact with elderly residents, enhancing their social development. These visits provide both generations the chance to learn new skills, engage in meaningful conversations, and foster empathy. It’s a wonderful way for preschoolers to build confidence and develop their social skills, while the elderly residents enjoy the lively energy and company of the children.

Mathematical Development

Toddlers at Kids Planet Willerby have lots of fun while developing their mathematical skills! In our creative, hands-on environment, children explore shapes, colours, numbers, and sizes, laying the foundation for early numeracy. Through play-based activities, they develop key skills such as problem-solving, recognition, and classification, all while engaging in exciting, interactive activities. It’s a perfect blend of learning and fun, ensuring toddlers are equipped with the skills they need for their future educational journey.

Baby Emotional Development

At Kids Planet Willerby, babies are supported to develop their emotional skills through play. Our nurturing environment encourages sharing, taking turns, and completing activities, which helps babies build confidence in their abilities.
