About Winnington

Kids Planet Winnington welcomes babies through to preschoolers in a purpose-built nursery in the village centre. Each age group has a secure outdoor play space, with a library area and sensory room indoors. Children can also spend time in the cosy emotion station, offering somewhere to pause during the day.

Before your child starts, settling-in visits help them get to know our nursery and begin building relationships with our team. We’re open from 7am to 7pm to help with busy days, with term-time places available for families who need them. On-site parking and pram storage help make the drop off and pick up easier.

    Manager

    Hello, I’m Maddie, Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Winnington.

    Originally from Essex, I completed my CACHE Level 3 qualification before moving to Cheshire to study Education and Early Childhood Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I achieved my BA (Hons) degree. After meeting my partner at university, I settled in Winnington and joined the nursery when we first opened in October 2021.

    Since then, I have progressed from Baby Room Leader to Deputy Manager and now Nursery Manager. I am passionate about supporting children's communication and language development, with a particular interest in Makaton, which I first learned about during my university studies.

    Creating a safe, secure and nurturing environment for every child is at the heart of everything I do. I love building strong relationships with our children, families and team, and I am committed to ensuring our nursery is a happy, welcoming place where everyone can thrive. I look forward to welcoming new families to Winnington and supporting all of our children as they learn, grow and reach their full potential.

Little changes, big difference

We believe the best nurseries grow with their families. When you told us you'd like to know what meals are planned each day, our kitchen team made it happen. Now, a chalkboard in reception shows the day's menu, helping you plan your evening meals with ease. We’ve also added a lemon and cucumber water station, along with a fresh fruit bowl, so you can grab a healthy refreshment during drop-off or pick-up. It’s all part of making your daily routine that little bit smoother.
