Fazakerley Raise Over £300 For Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

The Cottage Day Nursery, now part of the Kids Planet Group, raised £355.06 for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. The nursery held a Christmas fair back in December with lots of activities for children including Santa’s Grotto, face painting, tombola, handmade Christmas Novelties, raffle, bouncy castle, mulled wine & mine pies, stalls and more.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to help make Alder Hey in the Park a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital – making a crucial difference to the 270,000 patients and families who are cared for at Alder Hey every year. With support, it will help fund the second phase of our research facility so our researchers and clinicians can work with industry to develop safer, better medicines and therapies for children to use in the NHS and across the world. With support it will help fund more digital enhancements that make a big difference to patients – things like interactive games and artwork for waiting areas and patient bedrooms.

Irene from Alder Hey said “What a lovely thing for the nursery to do to help Alder Hey children’s charity. We are all settled right in the heart of the new hospital and part of the build was funded by donations made to the charity. “ 

Rachel McGivern, Nursery Manager also said “We’re so pleased to have raised so much money for Alder Hey, we know it will help towards such great causes!”

The Fazakerley based nursery, which recently became part of the Kids Planet Group, is situated on the corner of Field Lane and Copplehouse Lane in close proximity to the library and the local park. The nursery has been developed to provide each of our different age groups with separate areas that have stimulating colours running throughout, creating areas for children to explore and discover through play. Opening times are 7:00am till 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
