We have great news – the team at Kids Planet Congleton has been shortlisted for the NDNA Awards 2023, in the ‘Learning through play’ category.
Kids Planet Congleton’s entry outlined how the team support children with speech and language whilst learning through play. The processes used at the nursery help children understand what is happening and what is coming next.
Within the nursery, they have a range of ways we help and support children to learn through play, from embedding the use of visuals, objects of reference, the Wellcomm screening tool, and in the moment planning.
Using these strategies ensures that children with SEND are well supported, giving them a voice and a way to be able to access and be involved in all aspects of nursery life.
