Kids Planet Hazelhurst is a purpose-built, two-story building, set in 0.6 acres and benefitting from wonderful outdoor play spaces, including a yurt, a construction area and a mud kitchen. We constantly review and reflect on our practice, and ensure that our team is equipped with the knowledge and understanding to help all the children in our care achieve their full potential in readiness for school.

Emily Fearn is the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Hazelhurst. 

I am Level 3 Childcare Qualified and have worked in Early Years settings since 2016. I started in a private day nursery as an apprentice, and when I qualified in 2018, I progressed through Kids Planet, first becoming the Manager at Kids Planet Astley Bridge, Bolton. In June 2023, I moved to Kids Planet Leigh as manager, supporting the acquisition and improving the nursery for the children, families, and staff team.

I have done a variety of training to upskill myself, and I am also Paediatric First Aid Trained as well as a Mental Health First Aider and the Designated Safeguarding Officer. Within my time at Kids Planet, I have faced a lot of challenges, and learnt a lot along the way.
