Kids Planet Midford Road, previously known as The Power of Play Nursery, is a small and welcoming setting with a big heart. Located in a peaceful residential area, we provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, where learning through play is at the centre of everything we do.

Our diverse and friendly team is passionate about early years education, supporting every child’s individual journey with a strong teaching focus. We celebrate each child’s uniqueness and cultural background, ensuring all families feel respected, valued, and part of our community.

Learning extends beyond our nursery walls with regular outings to the allotment, local community visits, and exciting guests who bring new experiences into the setting. Inside, our thoughtfully designed spaces include a beautiful loft room just for babies, offering a calm and cosy start for the youngest children. Across the nursery, open-ended resources and responsive teaching inspire creativity, independence, and curiosity.

At Midford Road, children are supported not only to be school-ready, but to grow into kind, confident, and curious individuals. Families tell us our warm, personal approach makes the nursery feel like a home from home, and we are proud to build strong partnerships that nurture every stage of a child’s early years.

I joined Midford Road as Nursery Manager in December 2021, bringing over 20 years’ experience in early years education. I began as a Level 2 nursery nurse and progressed to Level 4, becoming a Nursery Manager in 2012 and working across Bath and Wiltshire ever since.

I’m passionate about the vital role early years play in shaping a child’s future. I strive to create nurturing, inspiring environments where children can grow in confidence, independence, and creativity—both in the nursery and out exploring all that Bath has to offer.

Supporting and celebrating my team is just as important to me. I believe in fostering a space where everyone’s individuality and passions are welcomed, creating a setting where children feel safe, valued, and ready to thrive.

Outside of nursery life, I love exploring nature—especially the waterfalls of Wales—with my partner, friends, and family. I like to stay active and rarely sit still for long!
