Overview

About Northenden

Children at Kids Planet Northenden can grow vegetables, then prepare and share what they’ve harvested. Mature oak trees and extensive gardens surround our nursery in a former Sure Start centre, with each room opening onto its own outdoor space. This makes exploring nature part of everyday nursery life.

Indoors, a sensory room and reading den offer different experiences, alongside specialist train and puzzle rooms for children to explore. We use what children enjoy to plan experiences that help them learn. Freshly prepared meals are part of daily life, and a family library offers books to share together at home.

    Manager

I have worked in nursery settings since 2010 and hold a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies, as well as a Level 3 qualification in SEND. I have a young daughter and truly enjoy watching children grow and develop as they learn new skills and gain confidence. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and caring for my pets.

Adventures Beyond the Classroom

Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play

At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
