Kids Planet Higher Broughton have been visited Broughton Leisure Centre and created a display all about bones! The children looked at the bones in our body and how they grow and help us move around. They also listened to the Funny Bones story and based the display around it. The display is up in the reception area of the local leisure centre in Broughton, Salford. The nursery was awarded an Outstanding rating from Ofsted in January 2016.
Suzanne Unsworth, Nursery Manager, said “The children love the Funnybones story, which led us to talking about our own bodies and how we look after them. We are always looking at ways to get more involved in the local community and, in particular, anything that promotes the health and well-being of our children and their families. The children really enjoyed creating the Funnybones display and not only does it tie in with what our children have been learning, but also with the ethos of the local leisure centre”.
The nursery is situated on the corner of Park Lane and Bury New Road. The nursery has large open plan rooms with direct access to secure outdoor play areas for each age group and a separate roof terrace playground for our Pre-School children. The nursery also has 2 separate kitchens, one of which is a kosher kitchen which has its own kosher chef.
