Kids Planet Barkston Ash is a well-established nursery and Out Of School club, initially formed over 30 years ago. This popular childcare setting is located in Barkston Ash, a small village close to Selby and Tadcaster in North Yorkshire. It is uniquely set within circa six acres of land with the children’s areas placed across three extensive buildings, and with impressive landscaped outdoor play areas. We pride ourselves on ensuring each child will experience positive and supportive relationships with their assigned key person, other children and the whole team.

Lisa Watson is Nursery Manager at Barkston Ash. She joined the nursery in 2006 and became manager 2013. Lisa holds a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and a BA Hons Degree in Young Children’s Learning and Development.

At Kids Planet, we believe in a healthy approach to bodies and appetites, with sociable mealtimes, balanced nutrition and fresh, varied menus. Our menus are healthy and well-balanced. Each nursery setting has an on-site, qualified chef with an in-depth understanding of nutrition, food hygiene, and menu planning.
