This popular childcare setting is located in Barkston Ash, a small village close to Selby and Tadcaster in North Yorkshire.

It is uniquely set within circa six acres of land with the children’s areas placed across three extensive buildings, and with impressive landscaped outdoor play areas.

We pride ourselves on ensuring each child will experience positive and supportive relationships with their assigned key person, other children and the whole team.

My name is Leanne Batley, and I am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Barkston Ash. I have been part of the Sunbeams/Kids Planet family since 2009, beginning my journey at Kids Planet Austhorpe. I started working in the preschool room and progressed to the role of Nursery Manager in 2014. Over my 11 years at Austhorpe, I developed extensive knowledge and experience within the early years sector. I am passionate about child development and enjoy working closely with practitioners to create rich, engaging learning environments for children. I am equally committed to supporting my team, helping to develop their skills and providing training to support their career progression. Building strong relationships with children and their families is something I truly value, and I take great pride in supporting them from their first days at nursery through to their transition to school.
