Overview
About Thorpe Park
Children from birth to five at Kids Planet Thorpe Park can build dens, plant in the garden and experiment with outdoor music walls. A fairy garden adds another place for wonder during year-round outdoor play.
Our Inspire-accredited setting has an experienced team that works closely with parents as children settle. We build on your child’s interests to support their learning, with practical experiences giving them time to develop ideas. We’re just off the M1 with access to Leeds city centre, making our nursery convenient for families travelling from nearby communities or to work.

Anna Smith
ManagerI have been working in childcare since graduating from university in 2009 where I gained a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. I also have my Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). I joined Thorpe Park in 2016 when the nursery first opened and have been here ever since.
I am a proud mum to 2 girls who are my greatest accomplishment. As a mum myself I really do understand the anxiety around starting your child in a setting and will always endeavour to try and make the transition as possible for you and your child. My door is always open and I am always more than happy to help. I am proud to be the manager of this wonderful setting and beyond proud of my incredible team and all they have achieved over the years.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
