Kids Planet Austhorpe gives babies, toddlers and preschoolers separate areas to explore at their own stage of development. Sensory play offers opportunities for discovery and fun, with our team supporting children as they investigate the things that interest them.
We adapt care for children with additional needs, helping them participate in ways that work for them. Settling-in sessions allow you to meet our team and help your child become comfortable with their new surroundings before starting. You can share their routines and ask about daily nursery life. Term-time places and pram storage are available.

Shauna Latto
ManagerMy name is Shauna Latto and I am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Austhorpe.
I have been with the Sunbeams/Kids Planet family since 2016, beginning my journey as an apprentice at the Halton site and progressing to Nursery Manager. During this time, I have gained valuable experience across different age groups, rooms, and teams, developing a strong understanding of how we support children’s learning and development each day. I am also passionate about supporting staff, providing training, and helping teams grow in their roles.
More recently, I have gained experience managing another setting in Wetherby, and I was incredibly proud to receive the ‘Deputy Manager of the Year’ award at the Kids Planet awards. I have also worked as SENDCo, further strengthening my knowledge in supporting all children to reach their full potential.
I enjoy building strong relationships with children and families, supporting them from their first days at nursery through to starting school, and continuing to develop a nurturing and inspiring environment for everyone.
