Overview
About Coalville
Kids Planet Coalville welcomes babies through to preschoolers within Broom Leys Primary School’s grounds on Greenhill Road. Formerly Hunny Jar, our nursery has rooms suited to each age group and an all-weather garden where children can explore and be active every day.
Our team plans play around your child’s interests, helping them express their ideas and investigate through doing. As they grow towards school age, familiar routines also offer opportunities to become more independent, with support as needed. We keep activities suited to what each child is ready to try.
Our rooms are air-conditioned, and secure access is part of our safety arrangements.

ManagerI have been working in the childcare sector for over 10 years, starting my career as an apprentice and working my way up to my current leadership role.
I feel it’s a real privilege to be part of children’s earliest years and to help give them the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
