About Newbank House
Children at Kids Planet Newbank House can discover nature in gardens and woodland surrounding a Georgian building in Royton. Our nursery has more than 30 years of experience caring for local families, with rooms arranged for different age groups. Sensory play sits alongside opportunities to be active, with support adapted for children with additional needs.
Settling-in visits help your child get to know our team and explore our nursery before starting. They’re also an opportunity for you to tell us about their routines and what makes them feel at ease. On-site parking and buggy storage help with everyday journeys.

Becky Curphey
ManagerMy name is Becky, and I am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Newbank House. I joined the Newbank team in 2018 as a nursery practitioner, and over the years my passion for early childhood education has helped me progress into the role of Manager. I’m proud to now be part of the Kids Planet family as we continue to build on the nursery’s strong foundations.
I hold a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education and am committed to giving every child the very best start. Creating a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment—where children can grow in confidence and thrive—is at the heart of everything I do.
As a mum myself, I understand how important high-quality care is to families. I’m proud to lead a dedicated team who share that commitment and consistently provide exceptional care for every child in our setting.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
