Overview
About School House
Near Middleton town centre, Kids Planet School House gives babies through to preschoolers refurbished rooms within the grounds of a historic building dating from 1842. Outdoor spaces and local outings offer discoveries beyond the rooms, with sensory activities alongside active play back at nursery.
Our experienced team pays attention to what interests your child and uses it to plan their learning. Familiar routines give children opportunities to do more for themselves as they grow. We offer encouragement and help when needed, recognising that a new skill can take practice and giving each child time to take their next steps.

ManagerI am the Nursery Manager here at Kids Planet School House. I have worked in childcare since 2007 and over the years have worked my way into a leadership role. I truly love what I do, creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. I believe that well-supported and valued staff create the best outcomes for children.
Away from nursery, I enjoy spending money I don’t have (mostly on food!) and relaxing with 1,000-piece puzzles. I have two beautiful grown-up children who have both left the nest and are out in the world, making me very proud as a mother.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
