Kids Planet Queen Street is a highly reputable day care in the local community, with a long-standing and passionate team. Situated in the old school on Queen Street in Normanton, the building has been thoughtfully renovated to support early years education, with large rooms designed to encourage exploration through activity stations inspired by the natural world.

As a diverse and inclusive setting, we offer a nurturing, home-from-home environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. With strong links to local services and schools, we pride ourselves on being at the heart of the community. Our team includes a dedicated SENDCO, Mental Health First Aider, and fully first aid trained staff, all committed to providing the highest standards of care.

We also offer a wide range of resources and experiences, including lending libraries, swap shops, home learning packs, out-of-school care, and inspiring trips that help extend learning beyond the nursery. Recently awarded the Inspire Accreditation, Kids Planet Queen Street continues to champion quality, inclusivity, and strong family partnerships.

With over 25 years of experience in childcare, I began my journey at just 16, starting as an apprentice and working my way up to become the Nursery Manager here at Kids Planet Queen Street. I hold qualifications in childcare as well as being a certified Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), having delivered NVQ training across nurseries and schools within the community. Childcare has always been my true passion, and as a mum of two boys, I understand the value of creating a warm, supportive environment for every child. I’m proud to lead a dedicated team that shares my commitment to making a difference every day.
