About Wigston
Kids Planet Wigston gives babies through to preschoolers spaces suited to their age, including three preschool rooms. Younger children can explore all-weather outdoor areas, while older children have a trim trail and playground for active discovery. Our team takes an interest in what each child enjoys, using play to help them learn.
Formerly Hunny Pot, our nursery is on Launceston Road, with air-conditioned rooms and secure access. Our team helps children try new experiences and practise physical skills at their own pace. These different spaces give children opportunities to investigate indoors and outside, with help and encouragement as they develop.

Faye Baxter
ManagerWith over 20 years of experience in both school and early years settings, I have dedicated my career to supporting young children from the very start of their learning journeys. I spent 10 years as the manager of the Wigston setting, where I developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of high-quality early years provision.
I hold a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies and a National Professional Qualification (NPQ) in Early Years Leadership, which underpin my commitment to continuous learning and best practice.
As a parent of four children, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my role. I am particularly passionate about supporting and advocating for children with SEND and their families, ensuring every child feels included, valued, and able to thrive.
I strongly believe in building positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers, working in partnership to support each child’s development. Alongside an outstanding team of dedicated colleagues, I strive to ensure that every child in our care is happy, safe, and flourishing in a nurturing environment.
