About Bricknell
At Kids Planet Bricknell, we provide high-quality early years education and care in a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive. Our passionate team creates engaging learning experiences that help children develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.
Our purpose-built nursery features landscaped gardens and secure outdoor spaces where children can explore, enjoy active play and discover the world around them. We build on each child’s individual interests to support their learning and development, helping them develop new skills through meaningful experiences. We are proud to have achieved Strong in All Areas in our recent Ofsted inspection, reflecting our team’s commitment to providing high-quality early years education and care.
We believe learning extends beyond the nursery, which is why we value our connections with the local community. Through local outings and links with four nearby primary schools, we help children build relationships, develop confidence and prepare for their next steps.
Kindness and compassion are also important parts of nursery life. Through charity events and community initiatives, children learn the value of helping others, from handing out flowers to local businesses to creating handmade cards to brighten someone’s day.
We work closely with families, recognising the importance of strong partnerships in every child’s development. With secure private parking and pram storage, we aim to make nursery life convenient for families travelling between west Hull and the surrounding villages.

ManagerI have been part of the company for 5 years and joined the Bricknell team in November 2025. I feel incredibly proud to be the Nursery Manager and to lead such a wonderful team. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and I love being able to support them through their early years journey, helping them grow in confidence, develop new skills and reach their full potential. Having previously worked as a
SENDCo at my previous setting, inclusivity is something that is really important to me, and I am passionate about ensuring every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
I am excited to continue building on the achievements we have made at Bricknell, further strengthening our welcoming and inclusive environment where every child and family feels valued, supported, and truly part of our nursery community.
