About Willerby
Children at Kids Planet Willerby can discover nature through our “wood school” and enjoy direct access to outdoor space, including a covered area. Our purpose-built nursery, formerly serves Willerby, Anlaby, Kirk Ella and Hessle.
Visits to a local care home bring children together with different generations, offering shared experiences beyond nursery. Baby signing helps support early communication alongside everyday interactions.
We also have links with nearby schools, helping connect your child’s early years with their next stage. Our team supports learning across these experiences, with term-time attendance and on-site parking available for families who need them.

Jenny Riggs
ManagerI have been part of the setting since 2019, initially joining part-time while completing my degree in Working with Children, Young People and Families. After graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in 2020, I joined the toddler team full-time and have since progressed to Deputy Manager.
I am now proud to step into the role of Nursery Manager as maternity cover. I feel incredibly lucky to lead such a dedicated team and am proud of everything we continue to achieve together.
Our aim is to provide a ‘home away from home’ where children feel safe, happy and supported, while families feel welcomed and valued. My door is always open, and I am always happy to chat or offer support whenever needed.
Mathematical Development
Learning Through Fun and Play
Toddlers at Kids Planet Willerby have lots of fun while developing their mathematical skills! In our creative, hands-on environment, children explore shapes, colours, numbers, and sizes, laying the foundation for early numeracy. Through play-based activities, they develop key skills such as problem-solving, recognition, and classification, all while engaging in exciting, interactive activities. It’s a perfect blend of learning and fun, ensuring toddlers are equipped with the skills they need for their future educational journey.
