Overview
About Waterside
Kids Planet Waterside gives children open-plan spaces to explore across two levels, with two large, secure outdoor areas. Our purpose-built nursery is near Priory Park and convenient for families using the A63 to Hull. A nearby riverside path offers views of the Humber Bridge and opportunities for discovery.
Settling-in sessions let your child become familiar with nursery and begin getting to know our team before regular attendance starts. They also give you time to talk through your child’s routines and needs with us. Term-time care is available, and on-site parking helps with everyday drop-offs and collections.

Sophie Hodgson
ManagerI started my journey in the company as a Pre School room leader in May 2021. Then in October 2021 I was promoted to Deputy Manager, to then be promoted in September 2022 into my current role as Nursery Manager. My passion has always been to work with children, and I have a vivid memory of being 3 years old at playgroup and saying to my teacher “When I grow up, I want to be just like you!”
I have a level 3 qualification and over 28 years of experience of working in childcare. This has included, Nursery Nurse practitioner, before and afterschool club coordinator and 1:1 learning support for children with SEN.
The most rewarding part of my job is to witness the confidence grow and shine individually as the children and my staff team thrive through their exciting learning journeys of play, awe and wonder.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
